Looks more like a wasp. Whatever, this is perhaps the first time I've felt sorry for one of the little stingers! Good interest shot. Ideally, would have a tad more sharpness and be a bit more brightly lit.

Blur from camera-shake is evident. The subject is very interesting; I wish we had that species of spider around here. The color fidelity isn't very good. The composition is alright, though.

Great capture, could use better focus.

Good battle scene. The focus could be a little clearer and the colors enhanced a bit.

Awesome shot just a but fuzzy. Must have been a tough one.

Wow, quite an unusual capture. Poor bee ;) I think this would be a fantastic shot if it was executed a little better. The straight-on, centered approach works here, and there's nothing distracting in the background which is wonderful. But the image doesn't seem to be really sharp/focused anywhere and the colors could do with a little boost, too. If you haven't already used USM (unsharp mask) here, that would be worth a try.

Btw, since there's the hot discussion going on, I feel spiders are within the challenge guidelines and any score I give is purely based on the photo quality. Just thought I should add that. :)

This would have been an excellent shot if it was a bit more focused.

Not considered an insect. The bee might be.

what an interesting spider - I would love to know what it is. The monochromatic feel of the spider and the leaf with the jarring strong color of its prey and the spots on its (spider) legs are very nice - a quarter inch crop on top would have removed that triangle of darker green which distracts a bit

Nice crab spider with insect prey. The focus appears to be a bit off, but your shot is still nice.
