 A common butterfly in Connecticut, the Aphrodite Fritillary is a type of brushfoot. In Connecticut the Regal Fritillary is exterpiated, and this particular fritillary is one of only a few frequently seen in the state.

Beautifull butterfly macro, but, appart from the title, this photograph has - in my opinion - little to do with lines.

Beautiful capture!
Nice subtle colors. The focus adds much as well.
The wings seem to be backlit and those lines simply shine through.
