These bees visit our plum and peach trees every fall. Caught this one with macro mode using a tripod. Didn't seem to bother it too much. It kept right on munching for a variety of shots. Cropped it for size, auto adjusted color balance, and unmasked for sharpness and detail.

That is a terrific photo. I am surprised it did not rank better in this challenge.

Good attempt. The contrasts are a little dull. Sharp and clear photo, though.

Great shot as there were a couple 10's from me in this challenge. Good luck

Great macro & fine example of organically grown fruit.

Definately caught in the act. Seems that wasps of all varieties like rotting fruit. Well done.

Yet another wonderful shot in the challenge, at first I thought I wanted slightly shallower depth of field on the wasp, but then I realised that there was no loss with the greater depth of field that you've got. One thing I would have said, is that wilst the wasp may not have approved a mister would have added to the picture in that the wasp would have looked better with some water droplets on its back.

nice composition and great wasp - the horizontal across the upward oval is interesting

I was taking photos of these guys eating our grapes yesterday. They devour fruit, don't they? Nice photo -- exceptionally clear, great colors, framing! Nice job...

Nice shot - shame you couldn't get around to see its face. Focus is where it should be and its good to see the wasp feeding.

I left a piece of plum out in the hope that ti would attract wasps. I got diddly squat. If I'd had a picnic, I'd have been inundated with the things.

The colors in this photo are outstanding. The clarity of the bug is very good. 9
