I gave this an 8. Liked the 'real feel' and 'rawness'. Composition was unusual and certainly abstract.

Congrats on your top ten finish. I had an "oh man" moment when I saw that we tied and then that I had bumped you up on my vote the other day. LOL - I gave away my little star. But I wouldnt change it back even knowing what I know now. I thought yours was a great shot and well deserving of top ten (you should have been a bit higher personally). Great shot and congrats!

If there was ever a contender for a ribbon, I would rank this as one of them. The tonal qualities here are simply exceptional. The DOF is just right allowing the rest of the subject to flow and disappear into the background. This is a wonderful shot.

I LOVE this and cannot for the life of me tell you why. Beautiful. (And I'm a vampire fan, so it can't be the sentiment of the title!) One of my top picks - good luck!

Excellent shot. A macro that works as an abstract. Nice and simple with great curves and mellow color. Great job. Bumping up.

Wouldn't have known what this is without the title - which is fine given the challenge is 'Abstract'. The tone and detail in this image is right on the money. DOF is very good and I love the curve of the stem coming into the image. Given a forum thread I read earlier I'd hazard a guess as to who's image this is. I didn't know Bears ate garlic! If I've guessed wrong - please pardon my extra verbiage. ;^)

I'm guessing that this is garlic because of the title, otherwise I wouldn't have any idea. A very interesting leading line that pulls you right into the photo. Good use of DOF as well. Well done!

tones work for me. debate on whether you should have washed it or not. DOF works with subject. 8

Very nice. Love the subtle colours and the composition. Not sure about the grain, but it's still a top image.

I like this very much. Interesting and had you not told me what it was in the title, I might not have known without really studying it. Nice abstract.
