Thanks to the beautiful Kelly for this modeling session. She was lying on a massage table (I was doing a stock photo session with a spa theme). I sat down on the floor, laid my AB400 light with softbox on the floor next to me, and took the shot. Post = Raw conversion, levels, resize, and USM. Enjoy!

Good very realistic, and not over done

A bit overlit from the left but I love the model expression, quite suggestive.

Hrm. I read this "Making Progress with my Model" Photography the first time...

Certainly looks like it in her eyes... :)

Ummm...isn't that kind of selfish self promotion? I'd have cropped all of the ear and left a little more under the pinky. Some stray hairs...cut them too.

Nice lighting and pose; lovely model. Tie-in to the challenge is very title-dependent.

Making progress with my ability to see how any photo can be titled to squeak by the challenge description.

good luck with your modeling future...lovely shot, perhaps some of the stray hair is a little distracting, but I love the lighting and catchlights...oh and by the way, you are pretty

Cute. The front bunch of strands is a little split up in sections unfortunately.

Still cute!

I'm having trouble getting my shoes on lately would you have anything handy to help? ;~) Sorry to be a smarty but without seeing your previous modelling shots the viewercannot relate to the progress spoken of in your title. Other than that it's a good shot. Good crop, different angle which is OK and a good from your model expression. Lighting is very slightly too strong on the left and a bit shadowy on the right but not by a lot.

Those thin hairs on the lips and left eye are distracting.

It's a good shot, great perspective and all, but you could use some serious work on your lighting. Looks like you're using a soft-box...ok, softboxes are good. But you could be much more creative with the way that shadows are cast on the models face.

pretty face. the hairs around the lips are distracting. 7

Amazing portrait, those eyes just draw you into the shot. My only suggestions would be to clone out the few distracting hairs (I know your limited here) and maybe crop out the remaining part of her ear. Well done!

Nice photo but I have to vote it down to a 5 as the link to the topic is a bit tenuous!

Kind of stretching the intent of the challenge, I think.

A very interesting photo, though. Intimate composition enhances the effect of the model's expression.

The light on her right side is maybe just a little hot.
