From the first time I saw this sign, I thought it was perfect for a photo, I just needed a reason to pull over and shoot it. Shot mid-day, so as not to look too pretty.
Crop, levels, curves, unsharp mask, resize.

I love how this meets the challenge topic so well that I could guess the topic just by looking at the image alone, not knowing in advance. The big drawback for me is the static centering of the billboard. I believe the image would be much more dynamic if it were quite a bit farther to the left of center. The cracked dirt contrasted with that lovely and natural portrait is powerful.

Ironic indeed. Nice idea, but the photo seems a bit too "snapshotty". Maybe if you'd used a more dynamic angle, or desaturated the colours and underexposed for a bit of a grungy look, it might have conveyed your message better.

The title gets it from me I love the irony. I wish that the picture was alittle less bright everthing seems abit to overexposed, I think it would have made the sky alittle more blue. but I still love and you get a nine from me

Very outside the box, and creative.

Yeah pretty much. I also find it ironic in my neck of the woods when people decide to move out into the country and then want to get rid of the deer because they can't grow "rose bushes" without them being eaten then come christmas they stick wired deer sculptures in their yards.

Wonderful. It makes me wonder how the workers feel with this giant girl looking down and scolding them as they go to work every day.

Yes, it's sad, I hate it. Good of you to notice this sort of irony.

Very nice statement. Might have moved so that the poster was more to the left of the frame and you could see more of the houses under construction. Definitely meets the challenge.

This is a good find and idea. You've composed this well too. I think stronger contrast and make the sky a bit darker with selective colour if you're using PS would have helped make this an even better shot.

Yes, such is life these days. Perhaps framing with the bilboard at the left on that same angle to get more of the "wasteland" in shot to emphasize your point
