 I had this idea as soon as I read about the challenge.

Shot outside in morning light, poured some finger paint on the paper and let the kid loose.

Open in RAW, in the RAW conversion - decreased exposure, increased saturation, increased sharpness

Selcted hands with the pen tool, blurred background with lens blur filter just a little more than was already there to set off the hands more.

How adorable! Only suggestion would be that the highlights are either a bit blown, or you oversharpened just a tad...

I like the blue smudge on the bottom left. Adds a bit of interest to that part of the shot. The bright colors are very fun to look at.
