I feel unbelieveably guilty about this shot. Aimee had the idea of using these nesting dolls for this challenge. Her idea used either a lamp shade on ones head (Life of the Party) or using Groucho glasses on one (Incognito). I also gave her the backup idea of cigarette and sunglasses. She was particpating on a prison ministry trip Thurs-Sat and I wasnt sure if she was going to have time to set up and take the shot, so I took a shot using my backup idea just in case she didnt enter as I had nothing else. I was not going to tell her about it until she decided one way or the other to enter or not and if she had decided to enter I would remove mine. I ended up telling her late Saturday and she ultimately decided not to take her shot. I think my pic influenced her to a point where she didnt feel creative with her original idea and it left her frustrated. After reading some of the threads on this challenge and the DNMC issues that could arise she felt a wee bit better about not entering (but not a whole lot). She is curious to see how her idea works out. For her I hope good - for me not as good. So here it is. Please feel free to tell me what a scumbag I am for hijacking my wifes idea. She has free reign to hijack one of my future ideas with no arguements on my behalf.
Post process - crop, levels, saturation, levels on glasses, lightr burning, cloning, USM, NI, border, save for web.

You scumbag! How dare you hijack Aimee's idea! :-)
Seriously, though, this is very funny and well done. I like the stark white background and I actually like the border, too. I'm not always fond of borders, but I suspect this wouldn't work without it.
You stole your wife's idea?? Heh. Good story, though - I always enjoy reading the stories behind your pictures.
Trading post...
Cute setup! I like everything about the photo except the brightness. It's almost blinding in the brightness. Maybe a colored background? Other than that, good job!
Cute. I like the concept and the composition is good. Lighting looks nice to me (though the reflection off of some of the dolls is a lttle distracting - no idea how to minimize it without jeopardizing the good stuff though). Great focus, I like the clarity and crispness. I think its hilarious how the rebel doll is there smoking with sunglasses yet still holding her hanky. I think the border works well and of course the image fits the challenge without trouble. I gave a 7.
