Wonderful light, contrast, composition and mood.

Like many of the submissions, although there were lots of repetative objects in the shot they seemed more incidental and didn't really seem to be the true subject of the shot nor really genuinely capture the theme. You probably wouldn't look at this photo and immediately say "repetition!" If anything the stronger repetition theme for me might come in thinking about the repetition of the woman and her day somehow.
However, this is SUCH a wonderful photo it probably would do extrememely well in lots of submission themes. Would make a beautiful print. Another fantastic shot for your terrific portfolio.

I scored this a 9. I thought it was fantastic, and should have placed higher. The lighting is perfect, the repetition makes the shot great instead of just being repetition for the challenge's sake. The cherry on top is the physical position of the woman as she takes a tired step down the long hallway. Congratulations on a fantastic shot.

The strength of this wonderful image, IMO, lies in the fact that its latent or emotive subject seems entirely open to personal interpretation. Despite the extremes of lighting and a consequential elimination of detail over large parts of the image (the dark facades on both sides of passage, the bright day-lit arched patio at the focus of perspective), the capture remains coherently clear and satisfying. The lone figure caught in mid-step on this sea of diamonds (tile floor) only emphasizes an apparent and almost emotinal emptiness, which aptly balances a potentially busy shot. The dynamic perspective maps the picture perfectly, cutting a distinct path for the eye.

Personally, this is an image which appeals to my tastes in no small way, either.

I think you could have went with any of these elements as a subject. I'm not sure I like this with all of that present. I think I'd have chosen the floor and went with that. This is a nice pic, don't get me wrong.

You were able to capture some really nice details and reflections. I'm able to find so much repitition in this piece. Floor, roof, lights, walls.

The lighting that you shot gives the piece an interesting mood. Very good composition.

I like the nostalgic feel of this photo. Good color choice and nice perspective. Lots of repetition to meet the challenge theme. 10

I quite like the feel of this shot, the old style, enhanced by the outfit of the women. The emptiness of the shot is also very appealing. Really nice image.

Lots of great repetition, and yet still has a central focus. Wonderful.

Interesting shot. I see many elements that say repitition. I think I would have enjoyed this image more if just a bit brighter down the hall. 7

nice timing on the subject...mid walk works better than if both feet were stationary. good composition.

I really like this shot. It' s visually interesting and the lighting and tones give it a sort of eerie feeling. Nice concept that is very well executed.
