Editing steps:

1. Liquidfy - I used a soft brush that was slightly larger than the water drop itself. This made the entire lower part larger.

2. Liquidfy - I used this again using a smaller soft brush and applied it only on the lower half of the water drop and also pushed down and to the right to make it a little longer and more wider on the right. I used the mask layer on this to erase some of the effects just a bit. Basically, I didn't care how the inside look because the image was going to be placed over it.

3. Clone Tool - I used this a bit at the bottom where I extended the drop further. Because the stretching made the edges softer I cloned in some of the original edge and placed it where the new edge is and faded it off from both the left and right directions since the arc was now different. Just a subtle effect to make the bottom part sharper.

4. Band Photo - I added the band photo set to normal blending mode. I thought you want the band pic to stand out and none of the other blending modes did that except normal so I kept it that way and then using the mask layer erased the edges so that it fit the oval shape.

5. Clone Tool - I used this again but on the band pic at the bottom. Since the guitar player has his legs cut off I extend the legs just a bit so that it reached further down the water drop. Not much was done here just some tidy up.

6. Curves - I applied this just to the band pic inside the water drop so that it had a darker richer look. Just a simple adjustment here. I believe I used "enhance all challenges" under options in the curves window.

7. USM and Smart Sharpening - I used USM for local contrasting and smart sharpening for just the sharpening effect. Both was just appplied to the band pic so that it matched the contrast levels of the rest of the image.

That's it. This was just a quick edit so some more fine tuning could be done such as getting the left side of the water drop line more sharp since the liquidfy made it a little wavy. If you use the original pic as a source you could clone that back in and then resize a bit to match the new dimensions.
