I didn't vote in this challenge since I had entered it. Nor did I make it through all the entries before this. But I am REALLY surprised this didn't score higher.
Great capture, nice and clear, color and lighting couldn't be better.

I have one of these in my portfolio. They are hard to get in focus. I'm not sure why. You did a good job of no editing!

Man, there are some funky looking bugs out there! I like this a lot. My only complaint is the stripe of blown white on the right.

Soft focus surrounds this bug, the legs are not in focus the rest is, the antennae are not either, might improve it if more of this were sharp and clear, and leave the DOF as is! very nice job.
