This is a very nice image. Your focus was perfect, it causes you to look straight at the childs closed eye.

I love your title. your dof allows us only a wave and a closed eye. there is such poetry to this shot.

I like the sharp focus on the eyelash and the simplicity of the composition. Although I think you had the right idea with this tight cropping of the frame, I'd like to see a bit more of the child's face and less of the t-shirt.
