Dont think I've perfected the in-camera settings but this is fun challenge. I decided to go out hunting instead of setup or portrait, etc...
I hope this image doesn't appear too dark on most screens.

I have no idea what kind of plant this is, but those are young leaves. As they grow they lose their maroon color and those tiny bumps.

8 - Very good. The reflection/glare detracts, but fairly minor and I'm sure you're well aware that that is about the only real flaw in this shot, perhaps save for the slight 'misalignment' symmetry-wise, however a very good 'straight from the camera' shot.
