This is a real buck who was standing still looking north and eastward towards Denver, Colorado. The skyline is probably 20 miles away or so. He was a younger buck with an older father with more impressive antlers, but couldn't get him to pose like this guy did. I was about 20 feet away from him and was a pleasure to photograph as the sun was setting around 8pm or so.

This is awesome, and I do love the Title with the feel of the photo. You couldn't have captured it any better! Definately one of my favorites.

"ERROR: Cutter is already in your favorites list" ;)

Nice capture and composition. The shallow DOF works nice and helps isolate the buck without totally obliterating the skyline beyond.

I like the "man vs. nature" theme behind this photo. You've portrayed it well.

A wonderful shot in every respect - lighting, toning, composition - but mostly in what it says. One of my top picks - good luck.

That's rather a bleak statement to make...
Fortunately I have a more optimistic take on the future of your photograph.
It's good!
Good luck!

really awesome, my fave so far. The possitioning of the deer here is great and the city in the far backround is key. There could a bit more DOF so that the city could be made out a little better, but I really like this shot.

There's excellent hope - Bambi is a very adaptable creature. And the city us not necessarily the anti-hope. Look how small it is comparef to how the photo is! Looks almost like Calgary.
