 Daughters hands painted with dark blue paint, cupped and a white rose bud held between wrists. Used a blue plastic tarpaulin as a background. Shot in full sun in garden.

PS work:
Lots .....
First of all crop to lose the non-painted wrists
Quick spot edit for a couple of places where the paint had rubbed off
New layer added opacity 50% and a vignette added in dark blue.
Levels layer to get the white and black points set
curves layer toflatten the mid tone contrats a little
dodge and burn to bring up the detail in the rose petals.

Wasn't quite happy with the effect so applied a draganizer action.

duplicated the resulting layer and gausian blurred at opacity 22% to give it a glow
more playing with levels, dodge and burn
applied a cooling photo filter effect to further enhace the blue.
added a 2 pixel red border
sharpen
image resize
save for web

This shot demands a stop and a look. It has a purpose other than to slap me with another pretty flower. This kind of shot for me leads down the road to eternal editing so I appreciate the work put into this. It speaks very nicely.

Mmm, cute idea, not too sure about the blue hands, they look a little creepy. Mabye desaturation would have worked better?

Focus point seems to be more on the hands than on the flower.
