 This is my sister (on the left) and my wife (on the right). They were just joking around and I was able to get a few usable shots. My wife's face was a little blown out but I still like the pic..

Thanks, I will try that. This was a tough day because the sun was so darn bright and was coming from the right. I didn't use a fill flash but I will try it next time. Thanks!

the picture has a fragmented effect. your sister's face is lit in a completely different way than your wife's face. Also, it looks like your sister's head is kind of lying on her shoulder without them really being parts of the same body. Personally, I like it. It has a collage feeling to it.

In this situation a small fill-flash can be helpful. Experiment with the EV settings for your flash and try bringing it down. I work with mine at -1.7 for fill quite frequently.
