Ahh ..well .. I was trying to go for "Penny for your thoughts" but that didn't work out well .. neither did Cashflow .. but I started dodging the coin trails and I liked it!

This is a rolling coin on black card paper. Photoshopped to make the card paper more invisible and dodged the coin trail to create the copper burning effect.

Greeting from the critique club.

First impressions. Very cool shot, clever and original idea.

Your colours and lighting are great. Though there are a few blown highlights in the trail and on the bottom of the coin, they add to the feel of the image. I'm not sure of the angle of this shot......think I'd like see it rotated slightly so the coin was heading straight up...this would put the beginning of the trail at lower left.

This shot certainly meets the challenge, though I feel it would have scored better if you could have seen a few more of the coin rotations in the trail......would have added to the 'Motion Blur' illusion.

This really is such a creative and original idea, it's well thought out.........you've done a good job!

regards
sue

This would work better horizontally, I think, and with a sharper focus.

great idea to curve the path of the coin. I think I want even more of a curve.

How did you do that?! That's freaky, I like it, nice placemet, although maybe if the arc ended at a rule of the thirds location? Very nice :-)

Nice use of the copper color. How'd you get it to curve?

very interesting - the thumbnail made me think of something organic - like through a microscope. Interesting how the reflections gave "scratches" to the trail - nice creative - I wonder if more coins would be better to break up the oppresive black in the photo?
