Amazing shot (to me). And lucky. Fifteen second exposure on ISO 50, wide open. Just laid the camera on its back on the picnic table in our campground spot. We used a flashlight to "paint" the branches overhead.

I wish the tree branches were in the corner of the pic and you also have a blown area toward the edge of the photo, hmm, if the right side is not crucial you might try cropping this into a portrait where the branch is in the corner, also what might be really cool if you have the chance to do this shot again is to get some colored celophane, or they sell little flashlights with colored lens filters, and to paint the branches with colors, you could probably do this in photoshop too.. I really like the black of this photo and your stars came out nice, also makes me wonder if there is a filter in PS to do the star effect on the stars, that would be really cool too, I love the wide open feeling of this pic, nice work getting the exposure just right
