Taken while on vacation in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. I originally went out to photograph the sunrise but picked the wrong location and didn't really get anything so I stopped to do some other shots on the way back to the hotel. I was on my way to the waterfall where my wife and I got married when I noticed the park service had installed steps down to the stream and walking paths along it. I went down to the stream and saw this wonderful site. I actually walked into the middle of the stream with my camera and tripod and crouched down in the water...almost got my butt wet trying to see through the view finder lol. I was so surprised at the image. This is my first long exposure shot with my new camera and I couldn't be more happy with it.

BEAUTIFUL!!!! This is great...I wouldn't change a thing! The only thing blurry is the movement of the water...perfect. I love the browns of the rocks with the dark and bright greens of the trees and moss. And that MOSS...nice details there too. Great DOF...this is worth getting your butt wet.

Very pretty and serene capture here. I like that you didnt leave the shutter open too long and lose too much detail on the running water.

This shot works well.

I might've been inclined to crop away maybe the top quarter or third of the trees, just to make the photo a little less "half and half", and to emphasise the idea of the stream emerging from the wooded darkness. But the sense of motion in the water is strong - as is the "primeval" feel of it all, enhanced by nice touches such as the moss on the rocks.

Water is good but trees and green looks a little washed out. A crop down to the lower 2/3 might have been better.

nice job on the water in this photo. the greens in the background are pretty as well. There is some loss of detail in the underbrush, but I love the moss and trees.

I think this is well done, and intresting. The moss on the rock on the right draws my eye to look away from the stream and to the trees. Very cool.

I like the water blurr, it's really good. The colors are great, most of the placement is good, this is good.

Hey. This would of worked for the 'Green II' challenge recently. ;^) Very pretty place - very tranquil, peaceful. Having said that, while I like this image I'm not feeling a good sense of action, blurred motion, that is being presented in other images in this challenge. Nothing personal...it's a nice shot - just not very "exciting" as a subject. Best of luck to you.

Suble and gentle by flowing-water-photo standards. Like the mossy rock which makes the picture. 8.

Nice landscape. But I have a feeling it doesn't have much chance among another 30 or so attempts to use water as motion blur. Just too obvious.
