Very nice! A little less centered would probably improve the score. |

Now this is good bokeh and yet I can still make out the details. I like the story being told here. |

I like the story very much. The background is spot on. |

okay shot but to me the title is a little cheesy......an attempt to make the image more powerful than it is..... |

good use of bokeh to tell the story of this subject. I might crop out some of the right side, so the boy isn't in the center. There isn't a lot on the right, it's the left side that pulls it together. Nice shot! |

The central figure would have been much better, if placed in the rule of thirds, either to the left, or to the right, for better composition... |

Hi :-)
I have a feeling this is one of your first entries, and with that in mind I will say you did a very good job capturing the essence of Bokeh which is hard, and you did it without using a flower as a subject...even harder!
I will take a stab at some of the other comments that you may receive on the image - the dead space on the right will be an issue for some. Composing on thirds can visually be more appealing. You will get comments on the tilted horizon, because even when mine are 0.0001 percent off, someone will comment. With your image it is apparent by the unleveled ground line and the horizontal lines in the fence that are not level. Although the child seems straight and vertical enough, more will find issue with the horizon. This can be adjusted in just about all processing software. PM me if you have questions or ask in the forums, there is even a Photoshop Tutorial on fixing this. The last thing you may get comments about will be the playing field being over exposed causing you to loose much of detail in that area. But don't fret, these are all easy enough to fix for future submissions, so your score will do nothing but improve! |
