Nice angle, with the silhouetted backhoe giving a good sense of scale. Reminds me a little of a shot I took a few years ago.

It looks almost as if the clouds are spilling down onto the land at one point - kinda nifty!

This looks like the type of desolation left by open-strip mining. The b/w or is it duotone enhances that feeling of malnourished landscape.
