the long shutter speed doesn't add much to this photo (i.e. may as well have been taken with a fast shutter)

Kind of a cool digital art piece. I wouldn't say it's a stand out in this particular challenge-- just because I think others used the 30 seconds more effectively, but it doesn't make this photo any less of a work of art. Things like this really stand out to me. You are seeing things from a different point of view, and I like that. Great job.

Cool macro, i think you could have got the same photo without the 30 secs

This shot does not hold my interest, and I do not feel it meets the spirit of the challenge.

this is an odd choice of subject matter for a challenge such as this; can't really see any reason for the 30 second exposure here. voters like a bit of obviousness when it comes to complying with the challenge. it's a reasonable macro, though. 4.

Sorry, but this image doesn't do anything for me at all, the subject isn't of interest, the composition is ok but not great, and it looks like you've treated the 30 second aspect as a technical difficulty to work around with a steady tripod, rather than an opportunity to do something different to a short exposure.

Would have been nicer had the dial not been cropped on top.
