It's the moon! It had just risen, and was very close to the horizon. It was quite orange in the original, so I desaturated some yellow channel to get it white. Some ambient light from the setting sun and fill flash.

Almost a great shot...if moon were a little brighter...

This is one difficult scene to pull off! I bet people vote you down and here is why I think:
The green is a bit dark, the sky is dark and the moon is dark.

But let me tell you this, I think this is pretty good, and I know it's very difficult to do, because the moon is very hard to expose correctly, let alone getting in dark elements as the tree. and both seem exposed correctly, so you have all my credit! I'm giving you a 10, and hope you do better then I suspect.

Good luck!

Good idea - but with framing, you want your subject in focus with the framing element blurry so that it does not detract.

This is intriguing.

The moon should be in focus, but it appears to be instead the tree.

moon is difficult to shoot, you have to underexpose with a fast shutter and then bump up in photoshop with levels and curves. Nice attempt, sadly the photo is lacking any real punch in my opinion.

I just love this - 10

I would have liked a longer exposure to get the moon brighter, and might have thrown the foreground out of focus.

I really like this but wish it had a bit more contrast (some lighter values).

A wonderful idea but i feel the image is too uniformly dark. a pity the moon is not shining brightly

it seems this would work better if the moon was more in focus..the fill flash wouldve worked well in that situation as well

the moon probally shouldve been the part in focus and the rest of the photo is underexposed, it couldve used more flash.

This is a very nice attempt, but the moon needs to be more white, and the leaves less lit in the foreground.
