I tried to get a decent framing shot all week, but didn't succeed, because it was just too hot to go outside. Tonight when I was driving to a meeting with my photoclub, I saw this beautiful sun, struggling against an upcoming thunderstorm. Beneath it a small industry plant. All that framed by a very old tree, who has seen nature change quite a bit since he was young. He's standing guard at the border of a marvellous nature preservation area, keeping track of the industrial movement around him. May he stand there for years to come to make sure that nature prevails over industry.

Post processing: cropped out the space left of the tree, curves to get the clouds a deeper glow, sharpening and resizing to meet the challenge.

I like how the naturalness of the leaves and tree clashes with the smoke and chimneys of industriality.
