you can't go anywhere in Warwarsing without seeing pix or postcards of this statue. It's in the town square.....Which is circular?!?!?!?

From the moment I saw this challenge I knew this is what I would photograph

My thought is that if you are going to crop the bottom of the legs off, you may have kept cropping and lost the building, or shot in portrait mode to blur background. Your shot is not overexposed, but my preference would be to see it slightly darker just to see if it brings out more detail. Another thought would be keep in mind the 1/3 2/3 rule. Though actually this shot (because of the boot) does n't appear to centered. just some thoughts (i am trying to comment on all the shots this round).

I know where Warwarsing is..close to ellenville right? i go camping in the catskills near there.

I would have prefered it if you had moved more to the left so as to get the tree out of the way, it is a little distracting. Or else use a wide open aperture to blur it out a little.

i find the leaves in the background too busy a backdrop...could the photo have been taken from a different angle? maybe try a shot from the ground looking up and only have sky for a background? good focus and composition.
