I've driven past this narrow field of flowers - mostly red poppies, but with yellow buttercups and other flowers at one end - many times, and finally got around to stopping to take photos.
I used my 100-300mm zoom, which I don't normally carry around with me. To avoid camera shake, I used very fast shutter speeds - shooting in RAW helps with adjusting the exposure rating. ;>Þ
I love this photo. I'm a sucker for flowers too, but I always say to myself "you gotta stop and ask them if you can shoot their flowers!", but I never do, and now, I'm going to!!

This is so beautiful!!! Usually wildflowers look so much better in real life than when you get down and try to photograph them. There's always too many weeds and dried up ones when you get up close. But this is fresh and vibrant. . . truly a lovely photo! You did a fantastic job with every aspect of this!
