This is a desparation shot. I couldn't come up with a good idea for this challenge and the deadline was nearing so I took some old vases, added a daisy and shot away. I don't expect it to score well but I like the shot and I learned some things about setting the exposure on the camera.

I opted not to shoot in RAW or use the in-camera sepia setting since there was so much controversy about it being unfair to those who didn't have those options. And I learned more doing it this way :)

Pottery from the past is also a good idea. The image comes over a little on the soft side however, I would have liked to have seen it a bit sharper.

Wonderful relics of olden days!! A bit out of focus and a wee bit dark, nevertheless, a great picture! :)

challenge is met, but for me this really doesn't grab me and hold me

This photo is a little too dark because you can't clearly see the larger vase. I also find the focus is too soft -- at least for my tastes...

Good subject choice but seems a bit out of focus.

I'm usually hesitant about pictures that only convey the challenge once the title has been read. Excellent composition, but it seems slightly blurry, and I don't know about the choice of subjects...
