Used a shallow depth of field as I wanted the scales to be a little out of focus.... would have preferred maybe just a little more DOF, but it's too late now.
I think the scales and the grain (rather than some flour or something like that) really show a sense of a bygone era.
Wish I had done just one more exposure that was a little lighter, I think it's about a half stop too underexsposed, the 10D often displays images a little brighter than they are.... you think I'd be used to it by now!

I think you really missed the DOF in that shot.ite eye does not kknow where to go and if you wanted the grains, I think allof them should have been in focus.
