 Re-take of my "Failure" entry - the comments I received indicated that the paint can and hammer were very confusing. Replaced them with a box of rifle bullets that we picked up at Walmart - with permission to return for a full refund after the re-shoot. The gun in this image and the original is actually only a BB gun.

I'm wondering how this will score without the "Failure" challenge topic. I did take into account all of the comments received on the original and improved it as best I could :) I really enjoyed this challenge and the opportunity to re-shoot.

Thanks again to my husband for spending the time to pose for me again on our yucky basement floor! He did a great job looking more upset this time around and his haircut looks great!

All auto settings on camera.

Editing in ACDSee & PSP7: crop, contrast, blackpoint, gamma, sharpen, edge preserver, salt & pepper, desat, lightness, re-size, and border. Also - spot edited a spec on his pants.

Made your own top 5 personal bests and is greatly improved, IMO. Careful with the bb gun, you'll shoot yer eye out.

I understand it's the point of the image, but somehow this one would be more powerful to me without the gun and shells. Not trying to tell you how to create your image, and it doesn't change my vote - it's just the thought i had. I don't remember it from the first go around so I assume you're staying true to the original.

I really like the texture in the room, and the way the light falls off to the left fits the image well. the pose is great and the techicals are spot on. a nicely created image.
