Critique Club Comment
Hi there,
First of all I want to congratulate you with your top 20 score, and your highest place until now. Doesn’t that feel great?
Now on to the critique.
I am not sure how to improve this photo; I know what would have looked better, a plain background without the gap between the wood. But I also know that it would be impossible to capture him/her in that way.
It’s also a bit centred for my taste, maybe if you stepped back just a tiny bit and tried to get the dragonfly more off-centred that it would be more visually attractive.
But again, I know that’s difficult.
Seeing that this was a basic editing challenge and the subject you had to work with I think you can be very proud of your placing and your photo.
I hope this critique will help you in one way or the other.

| I like it, but its a bit dull. Did you see it in B&W or another color scheme? It may have been nice to experiment in order to really bring out the dragonfly and/or the wood grain. |
