This is one of those pictures that everyone else probably hates but I adore, and one of those pictures where I basically say focus, schmocus. I love the fact that basically only his/her one eye is in focus, and the rest is rather smooth out-of-focus blurring (I hate using the term bokeh). This is probably one of my favorite 'animal' (ok, 'creature') pictures, despite it probably being technically one of the worst.

There's nothing wrong with this technically, those that aren't likin' it just don't understand the artistic side of photography...you nailed the focus perfectly. My only gripe would be the dark area at the bottom where the sand hits the glass. But you definately don't want to mess with it at this point, as it would throw the balance your composition off. Very nice!

I think it's spectacular!!!! There is an action to duplicate that and isn't nearly as cool.
