I love the color of this image. The perspective makes it great too.

This brings back memories from my childhood. I was at my aunts house and I was snooping around an old barn... I went up into the attic of the barn and I saw one of these (stuffed also)... I think I wet myself and nearly fell down the stairs.

Hey there from the Critique Club

Camera Work/Technical: Technically, this is a very nice photograph. Your focus is very nice and crisp and your depth of field is nice, including all the major elements in nice focus.

Lighting: Your lighting is also very nice. The tones and light angles give this capture a great feeling of mood and loneliness. There are no harsh shadows or blown highlights that lose detail or distract the viewer.

Composition/Content: Your composition is a bit too centered, though it flows very well. The content is a bit confusing, and I have a difficult time relating it to the title.

My Opinion: While I do get a slight sense of loneliness from the image, I don't get an empty room feeling. With that, I think that this one scored pretty close to its potential.

Nice selective focus, interesting color scheme and subject matter. Not everyday that you see this! 8

Very creative! The chalkboard might be a second item, chalk a third, and chalkboard eraser ... ;^) Good luck getting past the DNMC crowd.

p.s. - I'm not voting, just cruising thru.

The colours, the asymmetry of the walls, the
fact that the armadillo is made from authentic armadillo
associated with opulent romance on an old grade-one blackboard,
the apparent naiveté of set-up versus a killer perspective, these

are all crazy enough and presented in such contiguous taste and harmony...
as to corrupt my otherwise impeccable principles and prejudices, so
that I cannot help myself as I am awarding this magic a score
conventionally reserved for dead photographers.

This is just bizarre and I love it! Can't really tell you why, there's just something about it. Bizarre. All the textures, the vignetting, the chalk board, the colors and the uuummmmm armadillo(??) awesome, but bizarre. 8

I think this is the wildcard for this challenge. Could either be brown or blue ribbon! I'm giving it a good score though for smile it brought to my face :-)

I do not feel the emptiness of the room because such a small part of it is shown.
