This one kinda hit me right off the bat. I went and got some of the necessary tools (mouth, eyes, playdough-mustard stream) and set it up in my refrigerator. Took several different shots with different exposures and with the refrigerator light on and off and liked this one the best. Post processing includes heavy noise reduction to give kind of a cartoony look, toning down the background through slection to draw attention to the mustard and ketchup bottles, and a few little dodge and burn strokes on the bottles. Then it was resized and saved for web.

Thanks for the comment jerowe! All the comments I'm getting are really helping me out and I think I'm getting better, maybe before too long I'll have a top 10 finish! :)

hello, great image, bud. a lot of imagination and thought went into this, and it definitely fit the challenge. with this, i believe the only thing that really counted off for you was the blownout highlight points in the middle/right portion of the image. this was from the large aperture you used, letting in too much light. not that it's a bad thing. i absolutely loved the image, and gave it a 7. those pesky refrigerator lights are just bright, aren't they? but seriously, keep on shooting, you have some impressive work in your portfolio. you'll get better every challenge :)

Thanks for all of the comments guys.....I do wish some of these people that voted me so low would tell me why though. Those 1's and 2's are uncalled for IMO.

good work...you'd better drink your milk soon as it's about to go out of date!

cute, but other items are distracting

Really funny setup. The highlights are a little bit blown out which makes it hard to look at the photo for a long time.

Using a new formula....
0-2 Meets the Challenge = 2
0-2 Technical Merit = 2
0-4 Interest/Creativity = 3
0-2 The "wow factor" = 0
Final score: 7

Great shot. Love the humor! Getting the right lighting is TOUGH in a fridge!

I might have unscrewed the refrigerator light to try and get away from the harsh lighting.

Mean Mister Mustard sleeps in the park
Shaves in the dark trying to save paper
Sleeps in a hole in the road
Saving up to buy some clothes
Keeps a ten-bob note up his nose
Such a mean old man

Looks like a mean mustard man...7
