Greetings from your own critique club.

First Impression
Nice colors, image is bit flat.
Composition:
The composition is okay.
Subject:
Not probably the best subject for the challenge. It looks like point and shoot kind of image of houses.
Technical (Colour and light):
Colors are good. Lighting needs little improvement. The front is too dark to give it 3D look.
Improvement:
Too busy for the Architecture challenge. Light in the front side. May be some dodging would have helped.
Summary:
Nice colors, but image kind of flat point and shoot.

Hello from Álex, CTP MkII

First Impression: good sky and nice houses.
Composition: nice.
Subject: accurate for me, but it seems people like more bridges and solitary buildings.
Technical: the color of the sky is great, but it seems the rest of the image is a bit too blue. Focus is not very sharp.
Improvement: Get rid of that blue dominant. Focus.
Summary: Keep shooting.

Álex

Hi Gunnar!

It seems that broader-scoped photos didn't score as well in this challenge, and yours falls into this category. Not picking one specific building to photograph hurt your score. But also, the subject matter just isn't very interesting. Everyone sees houses like these in every suburb in every city everywhere in the Western Hemisphere. Technically speaking, the color is excellent, though the nearest round window looks a bit out of focus. I definitely like this better than some of your other recent entries.

the water is a distraction. should have shot closer and harder angle, or higher and more sky. the sky colour is nice, but the focus should be the buildings, upping the saturation of the buildings and lowering it for the sky should make this more apealing. Yet, it doesn't really show architecture, it just shows some buildings.

This is a nice rendition of a proliferating form of American architecture. The overall photo is darker that I would have liked.

I know what you mean. But not build like they used to build them. I like the image.

Nice colors on this one. foreground seems a bit dark, but certainly shows the architectural style of "row" houses.
