Really cool shot. I did not get the Palm tree until I saw the title but now I got it.

Just my opinion but I tried cropping the railing at the top and right even though there is a 45 degree remnant in the top right corner. Also cropped from bottom up to palm frond tip. For my personal taste that made the composition stronger.

Hope this is helpful.

Greetings from the Critique Club Tim!

Overall I like the image. The overexposure works well here and crop on the right side with the window barriers is dead on perfect (straight). Great looking piece of architecture indeed.

What got you here is the left side of the shot. The voters want symmetry for ceiling shots, detailing all of the wonderful archtecture. The part on the left is distracting enough for them not to give you many 8's which is needed for a high placement. Technicals are great but the composition just leaves me wanting a bit more.

Thanks for the opportunity to critique this image Tim!

Cheers - Phil

The more you stand back from this the more you appreciate the play of the lines here.

The first thing I saw was this circle thing on the ceiling. I thought "this must be a stunning photograph". I scrolled down to see the rest. It wasn't as good as I hoped. I would had got a narrower zoom and zoomed on the circle thing to just photograph the lines in it.

Great POV! The very left few pixel columns are a bit distracting (reflection/refraction on a glass surface maybe).
