Cropped, levels, adjusted sat, USM for web - This shot is one I am very proud of because it is a true nature shot, captured in the wild. The raptors I photograph for the Falconer are much easier :)

Wow, I am so happy with this score…. doing my happy dance here… For you people who left a comment, you rock! For all of you who voted on my submission, thank you, thank you, and thank you

This is a wonderful example of success in nature. The composition is so solid and the colors and details are so well captured in this exposure. Great stuff.

::: Critique Club :::

Hi, my name is Kari and from the critique club.

First Impression - the most important one:
What stop motion. You should be proud and i can see the happy dance going on .... you did great ...

Composition:
This picture draws the viewer in and takes me further in ... I think it is really cool that you don't included the whole bird .. as my imagination needs working and in working completes the image.

Subject:
Great choice.

Technical (Colour and light):
Natural is always good.

To grow its vote?:
I don't know what you can do ... this is just too good anyways.

Summary:
Congrats and well done .. keep it up.

If you've got any questions about this critique, please feel free to contact me via
the PM system.

Cheers

Kari

Great colors, sharpness and timing. Only the loss of the wingtips drops it from a perfect 10!

awesome - I'd love to know the lens / camera used. There are several (herons?) in the park near my house and I haven't been able to capture a decnet shot of one without scaring it away. This is excellent.
