::: Critique Club :::

Hi, my name is Kari and from the critique club.

First Impression - the most important one:
I think that this is, as you suggest, a stretch for success.

Composition:
The lines o the pond draw the eyes into the picture .. which is great.

Subject:
Well it meets the challenge in that it is good each day to wake .. but the picture does not hold its own without the title .. therefore the DNMC's i nthe voting are probably valid.

Technical (Colour and light):
I like this processing .. yes its over the top, but it really works well for this image.

To grow its vote?:
Meets the challenge .. that is a good start .. if taking something out of the box the image needs to stand on its own.

Summary:
Good shooting, you have a good eye .. keep using it.

If you've got any questions about this critique, please feel free to contact me via the PM system.

a little over-processed--the color banding in the clouds is a bit too extreme. nice effort under basic editing, though.

Colors are surreal. I mean that in a nice way.

The sky looks like it has way too much cotrast.

This is a beautiful photo, but not - to my mind anyway - right for this challenge. It's a pretty narrow definition of success - being awake one more day.

a bit over processed for my taste ...
