Where ever it is warm
Bram sits on top of it
So even when it's burning
On antique stoves he sit
He doesn't burn his belly
The upperhalf is for baking bread
But once he jumped on the other stove
And I won't tell you what he said
My tomcat Bram at age of 13 likes his belly warm.

use of layers, a tiny bit of NI, lightening/contrast, a bit of saturation, sharpening, darkened it a little bit, cloned some minor spots. The light comes from two candles above and on the right. That black stick at his head is an antique church candle holder.

I like the overall feel of this shot and the lighting, although I think the lighting on the cat could be a tad brighter. Overall a good composition and the whole thing conveys warmth to me.
When I was growing up in Australia, we had a cat who would literally climb into the wood fire we had in the living room at the end of the evening and sleep on the warm embers. One side of the cat was almost devoid of fur.
