I've never taken on such a personal project that would soon be open to thousands to critique. This is the biggest extention of myself that I've ever shown.(especially on a web site) I'm not good at having my photo taken and this is probably why I'm behind one. But... I figured if your going to do it... so I got a haircut and really prepped myself so I guess this as good as I can get. I took alot of photos with my tripod and remote switch (as I'm too self concience to have done this with anyone). This one seems to capture how I feel most days. I took the photo in B&W mode and adjusted the usual levels brightness/contrast and applied USM. I burned a bit to try and take out the slightly blownout highlights. It is what it is. I wonder if anyone will recognize me. I have to give the title credit to my wife. She also told me that this was how I appear to her most days... I have no idea what she's trying to tell me.....

You seriously look like a cross between Bruce Willis and Tom Hanks.
But then again, being a skeptic, you probably don't believe that.
:P

Nice haircut by the way.

cool expression, a bit of dodging on the eyes would have been good

Wow - you seriously look like Niles Crane (his real name escaped my right now). Nice lighting

I like the tones but I find the lighting just a tad too harsh (could be the monitor at work though).

Great title. Your expression really looks skeptical. Nice lighting. I with your eyes weren't in shadow though. Nice use of negative space.
