Taken in my home studio, tried to take a shot of me laughing but it looked too constrained..this is better because I am very serious when I photograph anything..overhead light and two lights on right...cropped, smart sharpen, hue/saturation, levels, curves, cloned out some imperfections, but left in most of my wrinkles...I know I will hear about the soft focus, as in my past portrait, but I kind of like it that way.

I like the patterns in this image. Nice portrait!

Lighting and color are good!
That bit of chair or whatever on the bottom right is a bit distracting, I'd clone it out. Also, what you can see of your hand just isn't enough, its a distraction. Maybe you could have grabbed the front of you very cool hat to show more of your hand. The way your shoulder and arm go out of the left side of the frame doesn't quite work for me, maybe if you could have caught your arm all the way out to your elbow.

Nice idea, but the shadows are too harsh. I would crop out the top of the chair as well.

this is excellent in every way except that your eyes are out of focus. I love this shot tho! you might try a selection on the eyes only and sharpen them to see if it could have helped? 6

I love the compostion of this image, the roundness of the hat contrasted against the angularity of the blouse is just very eye catching to me...I like this alot.

Nice shot. I think I would like to see it cropped/composed with the right elbow in the frame.

A bit too much noise in the background, and focus is kind of off. There's a nice light in the eyes that you could have concentrated on in post processing, which may have given some lift to your photo. Compositionally well done.

Picture seems to be out of focus. Could be sharper. Also I am not sure the border works for this shot. Think it would have been better without the border

The expression, background chair and pose seem to tell a story - but what story?

Well, Roman ... I like that hat! But what is also very appealing is the edgy and unsettling feel you've achieved with the unusual composition. It has a tension, maybe a deliberate lack of spatial resolution, that's uncomfortable and will not let the viewer think "hmmm, nice pic" and pass on without further thought. There's a photograph around here somewhere called "Inner Demons" that has the very same unusual and compelling quality.
