I don't feel this meets the challenge however you probably have already heard that so I'll just comment on the photo in general.

Overall you did a good job of not blowing out the highlights. There's a little bit of that but not where it counts. As such you captured the fine detail that these things have so good job there. Compositionally, it's ok but it doesn't really enhance the subject, IMO. Since these types of images are so common you want to really add some originality/creativity in the shot and two ways to do that is with the composition and with the lighting. I think you did good with the lighting so composition is where more can be done. The first thing I would do is avoid shooting this from above it. Either get level with it or do something a lot different like shooting it directly underneath it. If you have a good sky that could really make for an interesting composition. Anyway, just my opinion. Good luck!

the colors on the top are a little distracting and the core of the dandalion is a little burnt.

Good image overall though

This does not meet the challenge - inanimate but not an arranged composition of objects.

high lights blown out and it would have been nice if the heart we more in focus

DNMC--IMO a still life needs to have more than one object.

I would like it more with sharper focus and if the center was not blown out.
