To me, a still life is arranged by the artist, not found in nature.
My eye does not know whether to look at the spider web or the iron work. |

| This is interesting but to me does not make a still life. I love the clarity and the contrast, but a true still life is a collection of items grouped by the artist, whereas this is something found in nature and you had nothing to do with its placement. If it were just an image to rate on it's own, I'd probaby give it a 7, but not meeting challenge, hurts it for me. I hope you find this helpful. ;~D |
