 I took various shots for this challenge and wasn't particularly happy with any of them. I started with some of the builders working on the WTC Bahrain, but as they were taken in the middle of the day in full sunlight the shadows were just too harsh.

This shot was taken at a local fishing beach after some of the boats had come in and the fishermen were relaxing with tea.

My first b & w entry to DPC - I wonder how it will do?

Oh, and apologies to Cat Stevens for the title.

Shot in RAW, converted to JPEG with Olympus Master.
PP in P/Shop. Small crop, levels and curves adjustments and slight increase in blue in selective colour to tone down the reds. Upped the contrast a bit, desaturated, resized and added stroke frame.

I like his relaxed pose. His eyes are very dark in this portrait. Turning him slightly to try to get some light into his deep set eyes and some catchlights would have helped alot.

I like this one. I reckon could have been even better if you selectively lightened using curves the face a bit more (mainly eyes)Anyway nice shot! good luck!

I think his face is a little too dark. You could have brighten it up a little.
