I read through all the comments before posting this, and I agree with most that the lighting is marvelous! Might I just add that I'd personally preferred a slightly more sharpening to bring out a little extra detail on the mane and fur.

I like some of the aspects about this shot, but I can't help but keep noticing the burning and dodging on the right side of the picture and around back. I don't mind the effect you are going for, but the dodging and burning appear a tad bit sloppy. The color and capture are both really nice. Great sharpness as well.

Really nice shot! I do like the PP, the shadowing is really nice but not sure about the detailed texture left in the background. Perhaps burn out the background completely?

Yes, I agree with everyone! That roar looks almost like you wanna just go up and hug him :)

Wow - looks like you dragged this guy into a studio and had him pose for you. Somehow I'm betting that's not the case. So you apparently got great lighting and did a marvelous job with post processing. Very nice!!

I'm not sure if that's the way the lighting really was, or if you did some burning to get that effect, but who cares? It works well. You should make this available as a print. I think that you would sell a few.
