::: Critique Club :::
Hi, my name is Kari and from the critique club.
First Impression - the most important one:
I love this shot ... its extremely candid ... but agree with kiwipix it needs a little more of the environment to really give the shot some oomph.
Composition:
the line of the body head down appears to be on thirds vertically ... but I miss seeing more of what is around ... I downloaded the jpeg and mirroed the shot ... and found this dragged me using using her sholder and head as a leading line into the shot ... this changed the interest as well ... trying stuff like this and playing with those adjustments can surprise sometimes.
Subject:
Meets the challenge, but we are missing a bit of the environement ... there is no bus stop .. not even a sign.
Technical (Colour and light):
I love her skin tones .. and I think you have captured the lines on and textures of her face well. a really lovely shot.
To grow its vote?:
I think that you are challenging yourself outside of your natural comfort zone ... keep it up .. .you will get there.
Summary:
Great stuff ... keep it up .... not menay can take good candid type shots - it is a skill and an art.

Oh this is a lovely candid study which makes it such a pity that you have cropped out the environment. Only your title tells us about the bus and the title on its own is not strong enough |

this photo is un-interesting.... to me it looks like just a photo of some old lady... (sorry if im being harsh)...you could have included more of her souroundings so that she fits the environment better... :) |
