The sometimes grusome facts of life. This photo has the personality of a dead fish. :) But it doesn't stink! The negative space at the left works well with this image. Interesting, thought provoking image. That's art! |

Not what I think of when I am told a portrait. I would like it better if the focus was sharper. |

For me, this is a bit of a stretch for the challenge topic. *But* it has a lot of things that I like! It's a very emotive photo and I think the black and white works very well. You've done a good job with the composition and the angle of the shot as well. |

Great shot because of the contrasting textures. I don't think I would call it an environmental portrait in the traditional definition. |

Where is the portrait? I'd love it in another challenge, but it has nothing to do with environmental portrait. I mean, if you define it as the diminishing environment, sure, but that wasn't the directive. The negative space, contrast and filter is great, just not for this challenge. |
