The fact that the only visible words are very blurry detracts from the shot, as it is distracting. Because of the general lack of detail elsewhere, they eye is drawn to the blur.
A good idea, but I think this would be much more effective if you'd chosen the lenscap with the writing to be sharp. The blurry text is - to me - an annoying distraction.
