Hey there from the Critique Club

First off, always try to include some info about the shot in the Photographer's Comments section. It really helps out when we know what the photographer was thinking and what equipment/lighting/etc. were used, especially when you request a critique. Secondly, congrats on your highest scoring challenge entry to date. Looking at your profile, it seems that you are on a steady incline to the top.

Camera Work/Technical: This is one of the better moon shots that I have seen in some time. I like the choice of WB you used here, giving the photo a warmer feel than the normal white moon.

Lighting: Great work capturing only the brightness of the moon without overexposing it, and without exposing anything else in the sky.

Composition/Content: Wonderful placement to make for a very nice composition.

My Opinion: While a very nice capture, moon photos usually don't do very well in challenges here. I think this one scored to its full potential on this site. It is really hard to get a decent composition that affords a size large enough to include the right amount of detail. Nice capture.

think it would be better as grey scale?

Too much black on the right side for me.

The title makes this work really well - quite a nice experiment with the composition too.

Thank you for not putting the moon is the center of your photo. It's a good photo, maybe the focus could be a little more sharper.

Cool, but I think bigger to get some detail would attract more

Nice colour in the moon but the picture is a bit empty, a longer exposure may have given better focus on the moon
