This image gives a very unique first impression. I think I'll start with what you took and the composition of this photo and then move onto the more technical elements.

Your composition is fine, with all the elements in the right places with your model's leg bringing the viewer's focus straight into the subject of the image. I think that we might be seeing a bit too much here however. Perhaps a closer up image of just the face, hairdryer and maybe back of the bath may have been more effective. I also find the fact that the hairdryer remains off slightly distracting and annoying. The shower curtain also seems to distract the viewer off to the left.

As for the technicality of this image, almost everything seems to be sound. The lighting seems fine with no skin reflections which can sometimes ruin a photograph. Your depth of field also seems to be fine. It's true that you could have used a larger DOF, but I think keeping parts of photos that aren't the subject in focus can distract.

Overall, the photo is well taken but seems to be lacking a few elements to keep the viewer interested. Don't take offence, but from looking at your other images that you've taken for dpc and on your other site, your strengths would seem to be slightly more for the outdoors.

Good Luck for all future competitions!

Great title, you did a good job making your model look good, well lit, well photographed.......... having said that, I think that she doesn't quite carry the title

did you just tell her to act like courtney love:) I like this one alot. I think it would be better if the DOF was large enough to get the foot in focus to.

"Dark" isn't the right word, but that's easily fixed. Great, funny poster. I see this as a horror spoof movie.
