 I'm hoping people get the idea behind this. It's supposed to be like somebody disconnected the phone, and some paranormal force behind the wall jumped the gap to the phone cord. Probably won't do well, but I'm kind of happy it turned out the way I pictured it beforehand. The empty space above the phone jack is there purposely for movie title, even though we can't put one in here.

Put some shelf-paper on a large piece of foamcore, then cut a hole and mounted the phone jack to it. Mounted the fake wall behind a dresser. Used 580EX off camera with ST-E2 and two white foamcore's on either side of frame to bounce the flash off of. Shot bulb mode and "painted" the green light with an led keychain light. The star effect was from reaching behind the fake wall and shining the led through the hole in the plate directly at the lens, using F22 to give it the starburst effect.

Played with the levels
Cloned out bits of distracting stray green light and a few hot pixels.
Saturation adjustment.
A little dodging and burning here and there.
Rotated a tiny bit and cropped.
Burned the vignette-style border around the outside.
Resized, USM, Border, Save for web.

I think a smaller crop would have done better, at least crop some of the top part away.

You can't escape by unplugging your phone! Good cheezy horror/sci-fi flick. I'd go see it. Nice poster-like image as well. The strong lines of green frame a spot on the upper right for text.

Freaky! Green light (torch light?) is interesting and paranormal. No sure that it goes very well with the browns of your wall and wooden surface.
